Central Decal understands the need for research and development, which is why we spend a large percentage of our time and money into this department. We continue to work with our customers and vendors to come up with new and creative labels that will help our customers strive in the future. Our testing in-house consists of measurement devices to keep our labels consistent throughout the life of the part. We also have our own QUV weather-o-meter to continuously test new products for outdoor durable longevity. Partnering with outside labs is another way we complete our outdoor durable testing.

Since we have 99% of our label making capabilities in-house, we are able to continuously work on improving construction, efficiencies, and overall service to our customers. Our vendors are also a huge part in R&D. We work with them to increase our knowledge of what is available and what new materials are anticipated in the future. A few of our most recent accomplishments are as follows:

- in-mold labels (screen, flexo, or digital)
- over 100 line screen capabilities
- hybrid screen/digital/flexo products
